Chiang Monlin, Chinese educator and writer. In 1908, he went to America and studied at the University of California, Berkeley, and later obtained his Ph.D. under John Dewey's guidance. He was appointed as Professor of Education of Peking University in 1919. Chiang served as the Minister of Education of the Republic of China from 1928 to 1930. He served as Chancellor of Peking University in 1930, and later worked at Southwest Associated University.
